The fries were fabulous as was the cod. The other guest ordered a cod burger with everything on it and it was delicious also. The homemade tartar sauce was especially good. Great lunch all round.
this dish never disappoints. that Jerry can cook
With the restaurant "out of Alaskan pollock", which we prefer, we ordered two orders of cod and chips ($2 more per order than pollock) with an appie of bacon-wrapped scallops.
There were only six TINY scallops for $10.95 and they were overcooked to being rubbery.
The cod tasted okay but there were bones in both my pieces and the fries were undercooked.
We've had good F&C from this place before, so this was a major disappointment, ESPECIALLY for $47.09! My wife is home-bound so we can only do take-out, so I'll be very careful about ordering from here again!
We discovered this impressive little jewel while looking for fish n' chips driving along the main street of Ladysmith. Not only did we have a very enjoyable and flavorful meal, the aesthetics of the restaurant was equally appealling and the staff were superb.
Best Wor Wonton we've had in a long time. This Jerry dude can cook!!
After living in Richmond, B.C. for 25+ years, we were spoiled by all the fine Chinese Restaurants in that community. After moving to the island 23 years ago we finally found a Chinese Restaurant that satisfies or taste for authentic Chinese cuisine. The mixed meat and tofu hot pot was one of the top ten hot pots we have ever tried. The vegetables in the prawn chop suey were done perfect and the dry garlic pork execellant. The trip to Ladysmith is woth the time and travel for such enjoyable food. The Service was also top notch.
Used to go to the Chemainus location for the Chinese, it was great and still is at the Ladysmith location. I find that the sweet and sour pork is usually cold or very luke warm and would prefer it hotter.
Not impressed with the cod, the one time I had it, as it had the brown fish fat still on it and that tastes awful so it ruined my meal.
Had a burger another time but encountered raw meat and a bit of brown paper. Staff is poorly trained but very friendly, owner is very pleasant also. I will continue to go and to recommend to friends for the Chinese though!
Really tasty cheeseburger and fries are good and fresh. Tried the Chinese and found the sweet and sour pork was very dry.
Unbelievable food at great prices. Friends bragging about this place, I had to check it out and was not disappointed. Went for lunch and ended up ordering some take out to go for dinner.
This is our place to go for Chinese lunch and have followed from his old location to new locale in Ladysmith.
We share the Wor Wonton Soup and finish with the Combo A, which is incredible. it is simply the best Chinese food on Vancouver Island.
